I'm Adam Wollins. For over 25 years I've led technology strategy, transformation, and operations across education — from individual schools to the largest education IT operation in the Southern Hemisphere. I work alongside school leadership as a genuine partner: in the room, in the detail, and accountable to your community.
My leadership philosophy, working style, and the five consistent strengths that shape how I think, prepare, and act. For those who want to understand the person behind the career record.
How I work with schools, boards, and leadership teams. Engagement models, services, and what to expect when we work together — no sales pitch, just a clear picture.
A full professional profile — career history, key achievements, capabilities, and qualifications. For principals, boards, and anyone exploring a working relationship.
Strategies, governance frameworks, project artefacts, and tools from across 25 years. Real work you can view — from ICT strategy documents to AI governance frameworks.
Thinking out loud on technology, education, and AI — published on Substack. For practitioners who want substance over noise.
My alignment with the Centre for Humane Technology and why their values are foundational — not optional — in how I approach every technology decision in schools.
Services, frameworks, and thinking for school leaders navigating technology strategy, AI adoption, and digital change. Built for principals and boards, not IT departments.
Whether you have a specific project in mind or simply want to explore whether there's a good fit — I'm happy to have a conversation. No sales pitch, no obligation.
Every technology decision in a school is also an educational decision. I start with your values and your vision — and technology follows from that, not the other way around.
I would rather tell you something uncomfortable and useful than something polished and hollow. Good thinking partners tell you what you need to hear — not what you want to hear.
Everything I build is designed to outlast my involvement. Strategies, frameworks, capability — all of it is documented, embedded, and owned by your team long after the engagement ends.
Leading a team of 8 across all areas of school technology. I authored the school's True North ICT Strategy 2025–2030 — a three-pillar roadmap built around educational excellence, operational efficiency, and community engagement. I have since led the school's AI adoption program, strengthened its cyber security posture, and transformed the technology team from a reactive support function into a trusted strategic partner for staff, students, and families.
I am a member of The Next Word — a specialist consultancy working with school communities, leadership teams, and boards across Australia on AI adoption and strategy. Founded by Matthew Esterman and Dr Nicholas Jackson, The Next Word bridges the gap between rapid AI advancement and the lived reality of schools — through AI advisory partnerships, keynotes, workshops, and board-level strategy.
Where my work focuses on technology strategy and school operations, The Next Word brings collective expertise across curriculum, leadership development, and whole-community AI capability. Together we cover the full picture.
